NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BOARD OF EDUCATION- BAYONNE, NEW JERSEY
SEALED BID PROPOSALS will be received on or before 10:00am on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 by the Board of Education of the City of Bayonne, New Jersey, and will then be publicly opened and read later that day at 2:00pm in the Anna J. Herbert Meeting Room of the Board of Education, 669 Avenue A, Bayonne, New Jersey, for the following goods and/or services to be provided to the Bayonne Board of Education:
STUDENT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES – TO AND FROM SCHOOL
It is required that only products and good manufactured in the United States of America be used and supplied to meet the provisions of these specifications, wherever available.
Specifications may be obtained at the Board’s website www.bboed.org. These specifications shall more fully describe the services sought herein.
ALL BIDS MUST BE MADE OUT ON THE STANDARD PROPOSAL FORM AND MUST BE SUBMITTED IN SEALED ENVELOPES, addressed to the Board of Education, Administration Building, 669 Avenue A, Bayonne, New Jersey, plainly endorsed with the name of the bidder and the nature of the Bid, and MAY BE HANDED IN AT THE BUSINESS OFFICE, OR MAILED PRIOR THERETO NO LATER THAN 10:00AM OF THE DATE OF THE PUBLIC BID OPENING. ALL BIDS RECEIVED ON TIME WILL BE PUBLICLY OPENED, READ AND RECORDED AT THE MEETING. ANY BIDS RECEIVED AFTER 10:00AM OF THE DATE OF THE PUBLIC BID OPENING WILL BE DEEMED LATE AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
When expressly stated in the bid specifications / instructions to bidders, bidder shall provide BID BOND or CERTIFIED CHECK, payable to the Bayonne Board of Education, City of Bayonne, in an amount not less than TEN PERCENT (10%) of the bid, and any other mandatory items with the bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance Bond, and any other mandatory items prior to the execution of a contract.
No proposal will be considered from other than a responsible or legitimate dealer and such as are so known in their respective trades.
The Board of Education of the City of Bayonne reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding and to award contracts at the discretion of the Board.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this work.
